Spend 2 unforgettable nights at the exclusive seasonal Namaqua Flower Camp by Chief’s Camp, surrounded by rolling hills of daisies in full bloom. This journey blends curated comfort with peak-season beauty — perfect for birders, photographers, and wildflower lovers alike.

Travel from the fynbos-cloaked shores of Langebaan to the valleys of Nieuwoudtville and the vibrant flower fields of Namaqualand National Park.

Along the way, you’ll encounter rare and endemic birds, from the elegant Black Harrier and Southern Black Korhaan to shimmering sunbirds and elusive larks.

Day 1: Cape Town to West Coast National Park

Morning: Depart Cape Town after breakfast.
En route stop: Darling area for birding and early wildflower sightings.
Lunch: Farm-to-table lunch at a Darling wine estate.
Afternoon: Explore West Coast National Park — prime birding at the Langebaan Lagoon (flamingos, waders, black harriers) and Postberg Flower Reserve for wildflowers (open only during flower season).
Accommodation: Langebaan (one of our preferred hotels/guesthouses)

Day 2: West Coast to Botanical Paradise

Morning: Early birding along the lagoon.
Drive: Scenic route inland to Nieuwoudtville, known as the "Bulb Capital of the World".
Afternoon: Explore Nieuwoudtville Wildflower Reserve and Quiver Tree Forest.
Birds to see: Blue cranes, larks, chat species.
Accommodation: Namaqua Flowers Camp, Strandfontein

Day 3: Namaqualand National Park

Morning: Coffee and birding around the lodge before heading north.
Midday: Wildflower stops en route — include Kamieskroon and Garies if in bloom.
Afternoon: Enter Namaqualand National Park — flower-filled valleys and excellent chances for raptors, bustards, and ground birds.
Accommodation: Namaqua Flowers Camp, Strandfontein

Day 4: Namaqualand to Clanwilliam (via Springbok & Vanrhynsdorp)

Morning: Final birding in Namaqualand.
Drive: Meander south through floral landscapes and Vanrhynsdorp for botanical gardens.
Afternoon: Arrive in Clanwilliam for lunch.
Check-in at Saronsberg Vineyard Cottages. Enjoy relaxation, wine tasting and farewell dinner.
Accommodation: Cottages at Saronsberg Vineyard.

Day 5: Cederberg to Cape Town (Scenic Wrap-Up)

Morning: Breakfast and departure to Cape Town
